The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) reviewed its strategy for maternal and newborn child health programmes in Addis Ababa with partners from across Ethiopia, Nigeria, Malawi and India.
There are many lessons emerging from areas where BMGF implementation partners work on how to accelerate the coverage and quality of service packages for maternal and newborn health interventions.
The BMGF Learning Forum – supported by the IDEAS team – allowed Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) practitioners to learn, adapt and apply successful strategies in their own countries and situations.
The participants also got to see first hand some of the innovations that have been implemented by the Ethiopian government and its partners.
